Responsible for the proper use and function of all departmentally owned instrumentation.
Trains instrument users.
Performs routine maintenance, calibration, and validation of instruments. Conducts troubleshooting and repair of failed instruments.
Purchases and controls inventory of liquified and compressed gases, supplies, and parts.
Participates in department and committee meetings and strategic planning.
Assists with data collection and analysis for research.
Requirements
Ability to manipulate small parts and components.
Moderate work occasionally working in a difficult position or with physical demands such as continuously lifting or moving materials from 25 to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving materials greater than 50 pounds.
Work is performed in an environment with exposure to somewhat disagreeable or hazardous conditions.
